Do you take one-off projects?

We do not typically take short-term, one-off projects. Most of our client work is a strategic partnership, where we work with you for the long term and become an extension of your product design leadership.

Do you design logos?

We no longer take individual logo design projects (see point #1). However, if you partner with Propel to build a tech product from scratch, we may help you develop your corporate identity, including your logo.

Do you design websites?

Yes, we have extensive experience designing beautiful, responsive websites and, at one point, specialized in complex redesign projects for large corporate clients. We can design your marketing website when you partner with Propel to create your product experience.

Do you develop apps?

We no longer offer web development services to new clients. Instead, we focus entirely on product design for business and consumer tools and apps. However, our years of experience developing software make us invaluable to your dev teams.

How do you work?

When we partner with your company, we become an extension of your organization. We’ll attend the necessary meetings and daily rituals and join your Slack and Figma workspaces. We'll also work very closely with founders, product owners, and dev leads to learn about your business's nuances and establish relationships as if we were a design team in your organization.

What is your design philosophy?

For Propel, design is more about problem-solving than the visual wow factor. While our work is visually sophisticated, we believe in functional design that adapts well to perpetual use. Since we build business tools and consumer apps that are meant to be used constantly, we optimize for visual sophistication while trying to keep things clean and elegant for repeat use.

What is your experience?

We have over 25 years of experience designing and building amazing products for startups and corporate clients in North America, Europe, and Asia. Propel’s founder, Vlad Khomutov, has been designing and developing software since the late ‘90s, co-founded several tech startups, ran design for Rogers, and helped dozens of startups go to market.
